Stop repeating.
Start automating.
Learn how to make ChatGPT handle reminders, research and regular updates — even when you are busy. No coding. Just clear instructions.

What does automation actually mean?
Imagine wanting to find new job opportunities every Monday. You can search yourself, or tell ChatGPT to carry out a scheduled search.
Without automation
- Remember to open your browser.
- Search several job websites.
- Read each opportunity.
- Write down the useful links.
- Repeat everything next Monday.
With automation
- Tell ChatGPT what jobs to find.
- Set a weekly schedule.
- Review and confirm the task.
- Get the results when it runs.
- Choose which jobs to apply for.

Not every automation does the same thing. Here are the differences, with everyday examples.
Reminders
Ask ChatGPT to remind you about revision, an appointment or a deadline on a set date.
Recurring research
Get a simple AI news summary every Friday, or a fresh job search every Monday.
Monitoring
Ask ChatGPT to check regularly and alert you when something relevant changes, such as a scholarship opening.

Common beginner questions
Does ChatGPT run my tasks when I'm offline?
Eligible scheduled tasks run in ChatGPT's cloud, so you do not need to keep this guide open. You should still check that the task was successfully created and that notifications are enabled.
Can ChatGPT send me messages or emails automatically?
ChatGPT can notify you about scheduled task results by supported push and email notification methods. Access to other connected-app actions depends on your plan, connection and permissions.
Can I change the schedule later?
Yes. Open Scheduled in ChatGPT, select the task and edit, pause or delete it. You can also access task management under Settings → Notifications → Manage tasks.
Can everyone create the same number of scheduled tasks?
No. Limits and scheduling options depend on your ChatGPT plan and may change. Check the official OpenAI Help Centre for the latest details.
Does this page create a real automation?
No. This is a teaching tool. The prompt builder, checklist and quiz run in your browser. To create an actual automation, copy the prompt into ChatGPT and confirm the schedule there.
